Meet Our Founder

Jason Boggs — Founder, HCMS Group

Jason Boggs founded HCMS Group in 2020. He has spent almost three decades in healthcare cost containment, working where healthcare, analytics, payment integrity, and negotiation meet. However, his connection to this work goes beyond numbers and savings.

HCMS Group began by negotiating medical bills directly for uninsured and self-pay patients. Jason considers that work among the most rewarding of his career. He saw firsthand how resolving a single medical bill could lift an enormous burden from a family. That experience shaped the philosophy behind HCMS Group and still guides how the company approaches every claim.

Today, HCMS Group works with employer groups, unions, MGUs, stop-loss vendors, and other organizations looking for a better approach to managing healthcare costs. Jason has held senior leadership positions across the cost-containment industry, building technology, payment-integrity programs, analytics platforms, and new approaches to medical claim resolution. As of August 2026, he has personally negotiated 659 claims, averaging 64% savings against billed charges and resulting in over $21 million in savings for clients.

Jason also serves on the board of iMPAC Consulting, LLC, a physician-led organization providing claims review, medical necessity review, and specialty negotiation. HCMS Group has partnered with iMPAC since 2020, giving clients access to physician-level expertise.

Jason believes the best outcomes don't come from applying a formula to a medical bill. They come from understanding the patient, procedures, billing, and the economics behind the claim; and then finding a resolution that makes the most sense.

He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Augusta State University and lives in Augusta, Georgia, with his wife, Tracey. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with Tracey and their four sons, playing golf, and restoring antique airplanes.
